The 15 minute city is a concept developed by the researcher Carlos Moreno and put into practice by the City of Paris before the pandemic and was accelerated during the COVID-19 lockdown. The principle is that all inhabitants should have the basic services and urban amenities within a 15
minute walking distance from their home. Implementing this approach would have positive social, economic and environmental effects on cities worldwide hence on sustainable development globally. But how can it be done?
