The Generation Equality Action Coalition on Feminist Movements and Leadership is holding a side event at the Conference of States Parties (CoSP) to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), which runs from June 14- 16, 2022
Persons with disabilities are key actors in the fight for gender equality and gender-related rights worldwide. With this in mind, it is imperative that persons with disabilities engage in ongoing global movements to advance gender equality - including the Generation Equality process. This event - Generation Equality Comes to CoSP: Ensuring the Participation of Women, Girls, and Non-binary Persons with Disabilities in Advancing Gender Equality - will provide background on the Generation Equality process to date, highlight work that has specifically included persons with disabilities in that process, and seek to further open doors for persons with disabilities to participate further in this push towards gender equality.
