UN Women and the Government of Mexico have launched a comprehensive outcomes report of the Generation Equality Forum in Mexico. The Mexico City Forum was held 29 to 31 March 2021 as the kick off to the Generation Equality Forum journey. The report presents an overview of the Forum in Mexico City, including an executive summary of the Forum proceedings, its substantive and cultural agenda, and the recommendations made by the Forum participants. The report also provides an overview of the launch of the Action Coalitions blueprints, the catalytic commitments for gender equality, the Group of Friends for Gender Equality launch, the Youth and civil society leaders 2026 vision, and a common feminist pathway.

The report on the Forum highlights its ambition and outcomes towards reinforcing the power and voice of feminist and youth movements, and its function kicking off the drive for gender equality commitments that fully manifested in Paris. The report shows that the event had more than 13,000 registrations (43.8% of whom were aged under 34 years old) and a total of 18,488 connections distributed over the three days of the event, creating a space for inclusive participation of the different sectors of society, including youth and indigenous women.
