Vital Voices Global Partnership was founded as an outcome of the UN 4th World Conference on Women in Beijing 26 years ago, on the foundation that women’s rights are human rights, once and for all. In the Countdown to the Generation Equality Forum hosted by the United Nations and the Government of France, Vital Voices will host a special anniversary panel featuring women leaders and activist from across countries and generations who are taking on the world’s greatest challenges from the climate crisis to tech/AI justice, racial equity and gender based violence. We will discuss the significance of the UN Fourth World Conference on Women as a global call to action, the progress and set backs for women and girls in the 26 years since, and why intersectional women’s leadership will be critical to redefining a future for us all.
