INTERGENERATIONAL VIDEO CHAT BETWEEN LEADERS

International Women’s Day marks a time for us to not only celebrate the incredible women leaders who are driving progress, but also to reflect on and confront the barriers that women face to achieving leadership positions, and achieving equality itself. Around the globe, women and girls are systematically excluded from positions of influence. They must contend with discriminatory laws, institutions, and attitudes that undermine our leadership capabilities and our full participation in public life. Yet as the world continues to invest in women, attitudes change, and UN bodies, civil society, and advocates call for transformative change, we have hope for the generations to come. A conversation between Houry Geudelekian, a veteran leader, Chair of NGO CSW, and Michelle Belfor, a 22-year-old Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights advocate from Suriname, moderated by Courtney Cappelli, from UN Women.
