The Women Deliver Conference, a flagship event advocating for gender equality and women's rights, took center stage in Kigali, Rwanda, gathering over 6,000 activists, policymakers, and changemakers from around the world from 17-20 July 2023. The Conference, officially opened by President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, provided an opportunity to call key stakeholders, opening a space for an exchange of good high-impact practices and renewing collective commitments on the Generation Equality agenda.
July 26th, 2023. BERLIN.- UN Women and Street Art for Mankind are bringing to life their fifth Generation Equality Mural in the heart of Berlin, thanks to the support of Bayer and the Berlin Senate Department for Culture, to accelerate awareness and actions for gender equality.
On July 13, 2023, a distinguished side event titled "Care Systems for People and Planet: A Transformative Catalyst for Gender Equality and a Sustainable, Resilient, and Inclusive Future" took place at the United Nations in New York, as part of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). The event was organized by notable entities, including UN Women, the National Institute of Women of Mexico (Inmujeres), and the Global Alliance for Care, with the participation of influential figures in the field.

UN Women and the South African government co-hosted the Economic Justice and Rights (EJR) Action Coalition Leaders Retreat from 3 to 5 May 2023, in Pretoria, South Africa. The EJR Action Coalition is one of six Action Coalitions under Generation Equality meant to accelerate gender equality over a five-year timeline. The gathering brought together the 17 entities of the leadership structure of the EJR Action Coalition and was the first in-person meeting since the Generation Equality Forum in Mexico and Paris in June/July 2021.
